Surviving The School Formal |
|
Start planning early, You have been waiting for this day for a long time.
Make a budget, as to how much you can afford to spend. Make a list of everything that you need right down to hair nails spray tan etc. Get quotes and then you will have your budget. If you are lucky enough to have your parents contributing make sure that you tell them how much you need so there are no nasty surprises or let downs close to the day.
Make appointments well in advance for hair, makeup etc and have your trial if required early, so if you change your mind you have plenty of time to find a new style for you hair etc. Try not to be pressured by others about what you have chosen to wear. Pick something that suits you and not what others want you to wear and remember to stick to your budget, try a Once Worn Gown (designer’s gowns that have been worn once less that half the original cost).
Once you have chosen your gown buy your shoes bag and jewellery get organised early shoes and accessories can sometimes be harder to find than the gown.
If you going to the formal in a Limousine with friends and you are the organiser book your Limo early and get the money off your friends before booking as this always seems a good idea in the early stages of planning but when it gets closer to the formal and those who have not budgeted very well usually end up pulling out if the Limo ideal and you will be left with the total cost..
Inform you date early as to the colour that you will be wearing and hopefully he will keep this in mind when choosing his outfit, maybe suggest that you go shopping for his outfit together.
Most important of all Have fun you have work for years to be at this night do not let anything spoil it.
